Description

Explore the works of artists and artisans from the Upper Hudson Valley at the Albany Institute of History & Art, a facility dedicated to showcasing fine art, furniture, textiles, historical artifacts and other important objects from the region's rich past. Learn more about America's first significant group of landscape painters, the Hudson River School, enjoy a selection of period decorative arts and briefly leave New York behind perusing the mummy collection that is part of the Ancient Egypt exhibit. Be sure to leave time for a stop to see what's on display in the contemporary gallery and have a look in at the latest changing exhibit.
