Over the centuries, the Hudson River has seen a steady increase in maritime traffic, steam tugs and big ferries replacing small hand-made watercraft from days of yore, and it's this maritime history that the Hudson River Maritime Musuem seeks to explore in its exhibit space. Visitors can relive Henry Hudson's important 1609 discovery, learn more about ice yachting, steamboat travel, sloops and ship building amongst other things at this unique facility.
