Plattsburgh - Nearby Destinations

Tourist destinations to consider near Plattsburgh are listed below. Click on any name for complete information.

Blue Mountain Lake
In the heart of the Adirondacks is an exquisite village by the side of a lake bespeckled with tiny islands. In the background, Blue Mountain stands watch at an altitude of 3,759 feet. A three-mile path winds its way up to the top where a spectacular view of the village and lake unfolds.

Lake George
Sprawled along the foothills of the great Adirondack Mountains are the sparkling waters of Lake George and the quaint village that shares its name. In the summer months, the streets of Lake George are engorged with tourists.

Lake Placid
The village of Lake Placid is the most boisterous town of the Adirondack Region, sparked with year-round activity. It is in some ways a misnomer because the town actually sits along the shores of Mirror Lake. Lake Placid itself, a much larger body of water, is located directly north.
