Description

From the origins of mankind to Audubon's birds, meteorites to marine life, the American Museum of Natural History is the place to get a better understanding of mammal, mineral, rock and plant as it is and has been experienced here on planet Earth. With five floors worth of exhibits ranging in theme from fossils and culture to history and science, it would be quite easy to spend long hours exploring this facility. In addition to an expansive permanent collection, the museum regularly hosts diverse changing exhibits like the Butterfly Conservatory (with life butterflies), Cosmic Collisions, the Space Show, and large-format films shown on the AMNH's big screen.
