Big city Buffalo is second in size state-wide only to New York City, but holds its own in terms of cultural attractions, proximity to national landmarks like Niagara Falls and the easy access it proffers to grand parks.
This building is the birthplace of 3M. In 1902, five businessmen embarked on a mining venture and laid the foundation for a successful global corporation. Exhibits include: Attorney John Dwam's recreated office; a history of the company including photos, artifacts and documents; a lab; and hands-on interactive programs and technology applications. The original office building has been restored and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
