Description

Take a quick step back in time to the days when the sound of fife and drum, not tanks and big guns, accompanied men into battle at Fort Ticonderoga, a historic outpost with roots in the French and Indian War. Historic interpreters in period costumes help bring this National Historic Landmark back to life, between guided tours, daily musket demonstrations and other events. Explore the fort's museum for a look at artifacts - including a large collection of cannons - that introduce visitors to indigenous cultures, local geography and early American history. Enjoy a wander around the King's Garden and pay the nearby battlefields, Mount Defiance and Mount Independence a visit while you're in the area.
